==Description==
Once, long ago, Flare's two planets of Demeter and Hera were much traveled high tech garden worlds, on their way to become shining jewels in their sector.

However, then the nature of their sun changed, entering a 500 year period of impossible solar activity, causing the destruction of all but the most shielded technology. Now, Hera has become a highly traditional world of feudal desperation, with pacts being far more important than anything, and Demeter has become a fully communist survival focused society. (Both planets have had massive population drops during this time.)

Finally, in recent years, the solar activity has started to die down, and the most daring ships are seeking to re-establish contact, dipping in and keeping their systems powered down until the solar activity dies down, and attempting to re-establish both relations, and take this time to begin exploitation.

However, while everyone suspects and hopes the sun is calming down in the long term, it hasn't calmed down fully yet...and there are many surprises left for an unwary traveler.
