Hungry for More

Description

In a cluster with multiple worlds on the brink of transcendence or having just missed it, Stolya is in the position of being comfortable in their own technological base but oh so very jealous of those with more. The people of Stolya are in the position of being jealous of what they don't have, particularly since their unforgiving homeworld is wracked with hurricanes.

For all their technology, Stolya is in many ways poor. Dependent on other worlds for both food and certain minerals, Stolya is desperate for trade, and they have one thing to offer - ships - and that only to those who don't go to one of the powerhouses in the cluster for something more advanced. Because of that, Stolya has focused on cheap ships. What they lack in capability, they lack in price, and so Stolya's ships tend to be cheap, but also relatively short-lived.

Despite all that, or perhaps because of it, Stolya is always looking for more. The government of Stolya wants long-term access to those resources it lacks. What they will do to get it remains to be seen, especially when they are the most primitive of the tech-traders.
