Description
Once, Kepler was a garden world, once. And a civilization rose up on it, as they often do. But that was a long time, and a lot of pollution ago. Now, Kepler is an overheated world where people cling to life...or more often these days they let go.
The truth is, while the bulk of the population still lives on the titular one healthy planet, but with the space program, more and more of the wealthy, or those capable of exploiting the rich minerals are moving to habitats that are floating in space. From here they plan terraforming projects, to retake their home, or ways to reasonably gain the FTL of their neighbors, something they've been actively prevented from doing en-masse, in order to prevent a massive outflow.
